Unfortunately, Will is attacked and begins to change into a jade Goyl... a living stone man. Jacob joins with others from both worlds to try and save his brother.

If you enjoyed Funke's Inheart trilogy, you will enjoy this book. It's obviously a first in a series, and I would have like to learn more about Jacob & Will's father, but hopefully this storyline will become more clear in succeeding books.
