Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond RostandCyrano writes passionate, thoughtful letters to help a slow-witted but handsome man get the girl of his dreams, even though Cyrano is in love with her too.
The basis of many films, this story might be the original "beauty is skin deep" tale. It is a fairly short play, but plays are always hard for me to follow, since the characters' lines are are blended with the stage directions. Plus, my short attention span doesn't help.
