Forever Odd

Forever Odd by Dean Koontz

An ordinary guy with an extraordinary burden, Odd Thomas can see the dead who can't quite leave the earth.  This time, he's drawn into trouble trying to find one of his closest friends, Danny.  Danny's father has been murdered and Danny, who also happens to have brittle bone disease, has been kidnapped.

This is the second Odd Thomas book, and I enjoyed it much more than the first.  Odd seemed a little too smart for a 20 year old the first go round.  Here, his actions & reactions are explained better.  The main problems are the long sections where Odd is traveling alone tracking the villains, and unfortunately, the villains themselves.  They seemed too warped to exist in the real world, and I didn't really care about them.  But Odd has become one of my new favorites.
