No Nest For The Wicket by Donna Andrews
Meg found another dead body. This one she found after accidentally sliding down a ravine during a game of extreme croquet. No one admits to recognizing the woman, but of course everyone knows her in some way. It's up to Meg to figure out who hates the victim the most.
I almost stopped reading this book after the first chapter, since I forget that Meg always has to find the body. But it irritated me that such a Type A personality would give up control over the demolition and repairs of her house. Give me a break. The other characters rely on her to take charge of everything, but when it's something she should actually care about, Meg puts her short-attention-span Dad in charge of watching a work crew.
