Freud A to Z

Freud A to Z by Sharon Heller

From Anna O. to Zionism, this reference book is an easy-to-read compilation of Freud's beliefs, feuds, and life.  I absolutely believe that if Freud didn't have acute mental problems, he wouldn't have founded modern psychoanalysis.  Unfortunately, because he was unbalanced, he couldn't see beyond his own hangups.  Freud refused to believe that not everyone in the world had sexual hangups, hated their fathers, and thought that women were hysterical, useless creatures.

Freud was a product of his age: the Victorian Era repressed emotions on all fronts.  But being able to adapt and flow with the times seemed beyond him.  When someone disagreed with any of his theories, Freud cut them out of his life.  The man needed some serious therapy.
